About the Ambulance Department:
Established 1993, the Town of Becket operates the ambulance department and provides full-time Emergency Medical Services (EMS), that is licensed at the paramedic level.  The ambulance is staffed by three full-time providers, and a mixture of a dozen per-diem Paramedics, Advanced EMT’s, and EMT-Basic’s.  Averaging 400 calls yearly, the department provides primary EMS coverage for the towns of Becket and Washington, as well as mutual aid to several surrounding communities.  Our providers stand ready to care for the residents and visitors of our communities whenever the need arises.

Training Opportunities:
The ambulance department employs several providers that are instructors for: the American Heart Association (AHA), the Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ECSI), and the American College of Surgeons "STOP THE BLEED" programs.  Please contact us, if you are looking for a specific class or certification!
