Treasurer’s Report: OK Reserve Fund contains $1218.00
Business:
1. Rob will attend meeting for Local Historic Committee and our commission on Mar 14, 2008 in Boston. Cost will be $109.00. Rob has paid this cost. Various lectures will be available to choose from. Aaron reecommends Rob be reimbursed for the cost. Rob suggests that he be reimbursed 50%. Barbara 2nd. Approved . $55.00.
2. Letter rec’d from David McLaughlin, author of The Unfolding History of the Berkshires. He intends to publish another booklet on Journeys Throughout Berkshire County. He sent us a copy of the chapter on Becket and Washington. Rita will edit it.
3. Bayard Cutcliff has sent a communication requesting information on Railroads in Becket. Rob sent information to him. He also sent him copies of postcards.
4. Rob gave each of us copies of his annual report to read. Report was approved. His report was submitted for the annual Town Report.
5. Signsmith of Chester gave us a cost for producing four Historical District signs. A mock up was presented. Committee approved. Harry made a motion to have four signs produced at a cost of $225 each. (Total $900.00) Barbara made 2nd. Approved. Will be paid for from Reserve Fund. Rita will contact Signsmith to go ahead and create the signs.
