The 2010 U. S. Census
In order to have an accurate and successful Census in 2010 we need your help NOW. The U.S. Census Bureau is currently recruiting staffers for the upcoming 2010 census.
Census information is used in part to determine your community’s representation in government and to help direct federal funds to local programs and projects, such as roads and other community needs. So, it’s important to make sure that you and your community is accurately accounted for. The Census Bureau is counting on people just like you to help get the job done.
The bureau is hiring for a wide range of positions, including supervisors and door-to-door census takers. A number of testing sites have been set up in our community with testing and applications being taken each week. The testing schedule for Becket is as follows:
Dates: January 27
February 3, 10
Time: 1 – 4 PM
Place: Becket Town Hall, 557 Main Street, Becket
