The town runs the Becket Ambulance Department which is staffed by 3 full-time paid and 22 paid per diems. We average approximately 230 calls a year and also provide coverage to the Town of Washington with mutual aid back-up to our neighboring towns of Otis, Lee and Chester.
We are licensed at the intermediate level, which allows us to perform intravenous therapy, and advanced airway management. We are also certified in De-Fib and Epi-Pen. Along with responding to medical calls, we provide CPR and first-aid classes to the community and distribute information on health and safety.
